About Us

OK-AHEAD is an affiliate chapter of AHEAD.  OK-AHEAD continues its mission for disability service providers and the students they serve to further full participation for individuals with disabilities in Oklahoma post-secondary education through collaboration, information dissemination, advocacy, professional and policy development, and research.

HEY OKLAHOMA AHEAD MEMBERS COME VOLUNTEER WITH US,

Each year, Oklahoma AHEAD’s Nomination and Election process provide us with the opportunity to actively seek and engage new leaders who will bring knowledge, skills, and critical representation that reflects OKAHEAD’s mission, vision, and core values.

OK-AHEAD is currently seeking visionary and effective leaders for its Board of Directors from all institutional types. In order to fulfill OK-AHEAD’s mission, Board members must represent the increasing diversity of OK-AHEAD’s membership and have a demonstrated commitment and capacity to deliver on OK-AHEAD’s priorities of equity, diversity, inclusion, and strategic planning, assessment, and the like. OK-AHEAD’s Board is committed to identifying nominees who have the capacity to integrate diverse viewpoints into Association decision-making.

We are currently seeking nominations. If you would like to learn more, please reach out to any current Board member.
If you or someone you know can contribute to OK-AHEAD’s work in advancing disability resources in higher education, please consider nominating yourself or another member.
